Community Guidelines

Effective date: May 1, 2026

PlantaeLight is a community of growers — hobbyists, professionals, students, anyone with a plant and a curiosity. The Feed, Explore, Profile, recipe-sharing, and rating features only work because people show up to share what they've learned. These guidelines exist so the community stays useful and welcoming.

By posting recipes, ratings, reviews, profile information, or any other content in the app, you agree to follow these rules. They apply equally to public content (anything visible to other users) and to anything you submit through our reporting or support channels.

How fast we act: Reports of objectionable, abusive, or illegal content are reviewed within 24 hours. We take action — remove the content, suspend the user, or both — as soon as we confirm the report. Urgent reports (CSAM, imminent threats) are escalated immediately.

Account holders can appeal a moderation action by emailing support@plantaelight.com within 30 days of the action. We respond to appeals within 7 days.

6. Automated filtering

To prevent the most obvious abuse, we run an automated content filter on usernames, display names, recipe names (when published publicly), bios, ratings/reviews, and reports. The filter blocks slurs and known abusive patterns at write time. It is not a substitute for human moderation — repeat reports always reach us.

7. Changes to these guidelines

We update these guidelines as the community grows. Material changes will be announced via the app and on this page. The "Effective date" above always reflects the current version.
