Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your PlantaeLight account and the associated data at any time. This page describes what gets deleted, how to do it, and how long it takes.

Heads up. Deletion is permanent. Once your account is gone, the recipes you authored, your ratings, your follow graph, your bookmarks, and your profile cannot be restored. Please make sure that's what you want.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open the PlantaeLight app on your phone.
  2. Tap Profile (bottom-right) → the gear icon → Account.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm twice. The app finishes erasure and signs you out within a few seconds.

Option 2 — Email request (if you've lost access to the app)

If you've uninstalled the app, lost your phone, or can't sign in, send a deletion request to support and we will action it manually.

Or write to support@plantaelight.com from the email address on the account, with the subject line "Account deletion request". We respond within 7 days; deletion completes within 30 days of confirming your identity.

What does NOT get deleted automatically

Just want a copy of your data first?

Open the app → Settings → Account → Export my data. We email you a JSON archive of everything we hold within 24 hours. You can do this before clicking Delete.
